Article was added on Wednesday, July 22, 2015

SEC WIRE members Mary Grace McGee, Adrel Langley, Christie Dyson and Terri McCrea work to put together school supplies to be given to children at the 'Williamsburg County Government and Community Businesses Back-to-School Unity Bash.' The event will take place July 25th at Kingstree Middle School, 3rd Avenue, Kingstree.

WIRE stands for Women Involved in Rural Electrification. It is a volunteer community service organization that works to improve the quality of life within Santee Electric Cooperative's service area. The group promotes understanding and awareness of rural electrification and political issues associated with affordable, reliable electricity. If you're interested in joining or getting more information about the group, call Terri McCrea at 843-355-0566.
