Santee Electric Cooperative officials are pleased to report that 2,952 members registered and voted for board of trustees and changes to the cooperative's bylaws Saturday, July 16 during the Annual Meeting.
Consumer registration and voting began at 9 a.m. in Kingstree Senior High School's cafeteria. Registration and casting of ballots ended promptly at 2 p.m. Every member who registered received a $15 bill credit and a shockproof flashlight with bright krypton bulb, a Sure grip handle and wrist strap and was eligible to win a variety of door prizes that were given away at the business meeting.

Trustees Billy L. Morris, Jr. (District 6), James E. Scott (District 8) and S.E. Cooper, Jr. (District 9) ran uncontested and were re-elected to the Board of Directors. All three proposed bylaw amendments passed.
