2012 Annual Meeting Planned for April 10

Monday | February 27, 2012
All News

Together we save Tuesday, April 10 at Santee Electric's 2012 Annual Meeting at Kingstree Senior High School Gym. Gates Open at noon. Registration and voting will take place from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.

When registering to vote, you will be required to present one of the following forms of identification: (1) Driver's License, (2) State Identification Card or (3) Social Security Card. Members that are non-natural persons (ex. corporations or political bodies) may vote their membership interest through an officer or other officially designated delegate.  Proof of authority for the person to vote the non-natural person's membership interest must be provided to the Credentials and Election Committee upon or prior to registration.  The proof of authority must be indicated on the entity's stationary and signed by a person other than the person casting the ballot.  Other forms of proof will not be accepted.  Note - proprietorships (members doing business under a trade name) will not be entitled to a separate vote for their unincorporated business.

The SEC official business meeting of members will begin at 6:30 p.m. Registration gifts include a $15 electric bill credit and a jumbo cooler tote. All members who register and participate in electing SEC Board of Trustees are eligible to win a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer, a Sharp-AQUOS 60' LCD HDTV, a HP Pavilion Laptop, small appliances and energy vouchers. Prize drawing will take place at the conclusion of the business meeting. Members are not required to stay to be eligible for the prize drawings but will be notified if their ticket is drawn. Changes were made several years ago, not requiring members to stay for the drawing because the facility only has a 2,000 person capacity that would be easily exceeded if members were required to stay. Bring your March South Carolina Living and proper ID for fast registration and we look forward to seeing you there!
