Each year, Santee Electric Cooperative sends high school juniors to Washington, D.C. for a free weeklong learning experience. This year, Bailey Gottheiner from Manning, D'Andre Robinson from Lane and Winston Jarrett from Kingstree have been selected to represent the cooperative. These students applied for the program that gives rising high school seniors a chance to visit national monuments, meet with members of Congress, attend the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown and visit the Smithsonian, among other activities all while learning about how our nation and electric cooperatives work. Congratulations to these three students who will represent the cooperative very well.
