As Santee Electric Cooperative crews perform preventive maintenance some members in the Andrews area may be affected by a brief electrical service outage scheduled for midnight Sept. 29, 2011.

Members in the Piney Forrest, Big Dam, Powell Circle, Clemmons Pond, Morrisville, Old Gapway Road, Spring Gully, Oakridge, Earls communities as well as portions of the Italy section and East Main Street to the airport can expect to be affected by the outage.

'Our engineering department has scheduled the maintenance in an effort to minimize the inconvenience it may cause our members,' Manager of Community Relations, Adrel Langley said. 'All the prep-work will be done in advance so the crews will be able to change equipment as quickly as possible and expect to have the work completed within about 30 minutes, barring any unforeseen problems. We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation as this maintenance will help enable us to bring you more reliable service.'
